Challenge
The Government of the Netherlands faced the challenge of engaging a young, global audience to raise awareness and drive action on the water crisis. For the UN 2023 Water Conference, co-hosted with Tajikistan, they envisioned a dystopian concept shop with a sarcastic tone to captivate this demographic.
Strategy
Our team brought this imagined future to life through the creation of a visually stunning and interactive webshop. Users are transported to a world where water is scarce, polluted, and overpriced. The Drop Store features a range of products, including a cube of cheese and pizza pills, all at exorbitant prices.
Design
With the younger generation in mind, we wanted to create a website that is appealing in terms of 3D scroll animation.
And at the same time make it easy for them to navigate to the information they came looking for.
Engineering
More importantly, the intention is to reach this message across all corners of the world where there may be limitations of internet technology.
The website is a critical balance of having both is a visual treat with the high performance.
Outcome
The Drop Store serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to address water crises around the world.
By combining bold narratives with striking visuals, we created an engaging platform to captivate a young global audience, build momentum, and inspire action toward solving the water crisis.
