The Smartphone series

RGL saw a huge potential in the African market back in 2013. After defining African cultures and discussing strategies at the RLG HQ in China, OWOW designed a completely new smartphone series for the African market. One serie, three smartphones, and the complete user interface. Obviously, focussed on the colorful Africa.

The User Interface

The overall idea was to work with smart UI navigations, by adding physical button on the side of the phone, and simple but bright colors, for each sector of the interface. Messages are green, your Inbox is red, your Contacts are blue. Etc. The user can navigate easy and smart due to the side buttons, color recognition and swipe options.

Product Design Smartphone serie

Our mission within the design of the smartphone series, was to link the outside to the inside of the phone. This means the side buttons give you physical control within the interface. Simply click through your Messages, or go through your Contacts with one hand only.
